The company

A small studio that owns the software it sells

Baxtage is an AI-native software and creative studio run from Mumbai and Dubai. It builds software and creative work for clients, and it builds and operates its own product, SoftSol.

What Baxtage is

Two things, done by the same people

Baxtage builds software and creative work for clients, from web applications and automation agents to brand systems and AI-generated video spots, delivered by a very small team that uses AI across the whole production pipeline. It also builds and operates its own product, SoftSol, an operating system for solar EPC firms.

Client work is delivered by people who ship their own production software, not by an agency that hands off a file.

One builds and one runs. Write to either directly.

Aditya Shah

Founder, CEO and CTO

Mumbai · Dubai

Aditya is the builder behind Baxtage. He owns product, engineering, strategy and sales, and every line of SoftSol, from authentication and double-entry accounting to its on-device AI and desktop build, is his work. He is also CTO of the solar EPC where SoftSol was built, and works between Mumbai and Dubai.

Rakshit Jain

Co-founder and COO

Mumbai · London

Rakshit is the operating half of the company. He holds operations, partnerships and go-to-market: the client pipeline, the relationships that turn a conversation into a signed scope, and the administration that keeps a two-founder studio running. He is accountable for the pipeline being true, and works between Mumbai and London.

Team

Two hires, each with a written mandate

Each role removes the founders as a bottleneck and comes with a mandate drawn from the actual work, not a job description. There are two people on the team today.

Poojan Patel

Full-Stack Developer

Poojan owns the stack end to end: schema, server logic, tenant-scoped authorisation, UI, deployment and live verification. He is reviewed against the house definition of done, and something he built reaches production every week.

Saad Sheikh

Admin and Founder Operations

Saad runs outreach: prospect research, a one-page dossier before any founder conversation, and a pipeline sheet that is always true. He never sends a claim a founder has not approved, and never touches client data or production systems.

Standing rules

Eight rules the work is held to

Drawn from the company's written agreements and policies, and applied to the founders first.

  1. Decision rights are explicit

Ordinary management, including product, engineering, pricing, hiring and delivery, is the founder's call. Reserved matters, among them any change to the cap table, any transaction with a founder's other company, borrowing above an agreed limit, sale or exclusive licence of core IP and any new line of business, need the approval of all shareholders under the co-founders' agreement.

  2. Every engagement runs under a written agreement governed by Indian law

Client work is scoped in a Statement of Work under a Master Services Agreement, with disputes going first to good-faith discussion and then to arbitration. A fixed scope, a fixed price and a fixed revision round are written down before work starts.

  3. NDA first, and the client owns the delivered work

A mutual NDA precedes any exchange of confidential material. On final payment, all intellectual property in the bespoke work is assigned to the client; Baxtage keeps only its pre-existing tooling, which the client is licensed to use as embedded in the deliverables.

  4. Personal data is handled to the DPDP Act

Processing follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, with personal data stored and processed in India by default. Where the product allows, sensitive data stays on the client's own machine; SoftSol's desktop build runs its language model on the device rather than sending data to a third-party API.

  5. Security is engineered, not asserted

Passwords use industry-standard hashing and sessions are signed and fail closed. Authorisation is enforced on the server at every page, action and route, every query is scoped to its tenant, and secrets never enter source control, a log line, a chat or an AI tool.

  6. A human reviews everything an agent produces

Nothing generated by a model or an agent reaches production without a named person having read it, tested it and being able to defend it in review. Agents never hold unreviewed write access to a production system, and client data, personal data and secrets are never pasted into a third-party AI tool.

  7. Every hire ships in week one, under a written code

Baxtage hires against a trigger, not a calendar; each role has a written mandate, ships real work in its first week and treats fluency with AI tools as a floor. The team works to a written Code of Conduct and a POSH policy with a named contact for complaints.

  8. Money is exact

Every amount in a Baxtage system is stored exactly, never as a rounded float, and double-entry postings must balance to the paisa before they are accepted. GST on an invoice is computed as CGST and SGST or IGST.
